What is Home Energy Storage?

Home energy storage devices store electricity locally for later consumption. Electrochemical energy storage products, also known as “Battery Energy Storage System” (or “BESS” for short), at their heart are rechargeable batteries, typically based on lithium-ion or lead-acid controlled by computer with intelligent software to handle charging and discharging cycles. The consist of home battery energy storage system

1.Battery cells, manufactured by battery suppliers and assembled in battery modules (the smallest unit of an integrated battery system).

2.Battery racks, made up of connected modules that generate a DC current. These can be arranged in multiple racks.

3.An inverter that converts a battery’s DC output to an AC output.

4.A Battery Management System (BMS) controls the battery, and is usually integrated with factory-made battery modules.

Lead-acid batteries have a memory effect and cannot be charged and discharged at any time. The service life is 300-500 times, about 2 to 3 years.

Lithium iron phosphate battery has no memory effect and can be charged and discharged at any time. After the service life of 2000 times, the battery storage capacity is still more than 80%, up to 5000 times and above, and can be used for 10 to 15 years

7.Optional bluetooth function

The lithium battery is equipped with bluetooth function. You can inquire the
remaining battery by App at any time.

 

8.Working Temperature

Lead-acid battery is suitable for use in the range of -20°C to -55°C due to the freezing of the electrolyte at low temperatures, , especially in winter when the temperature is low and cannot be used normally.

Lithium iron phosphate battery is suitable for -20℃-75℃, or even higher, and can still release 100% of the energy. The thermal peak of a lithium iron phosphate battery can reach 350℃-500℃. Lead-acid batteries are only 200°C
